BSUR Library

The Bihar Sports University, Library was inaugurated on July 28, 2025, by the Honorable ViceChancellor, Shri Shishir Sinha, IAS (R). The BSUR Library is regarded as the heart and intellectual hub of all academic activities of the University. Strengthening the library collection and improving library services is one of the key mandates of the University.

The library houses a diverse collection covering various subjects such as Sports Coaching, Physical Education, Sports Psychology, Sports Nutrition, Sports Physiology, and Sports Medicine. These resources are available in multiple formats, including textbooks, reference materials, and online resources.

The library is fully automated using the Koha Integrated Library Management System. Koha was developed by Katipo Communications, New Zealand, for the Horowhenua Library Trust in 1999. All library activities related to library management, services, and digitization are carried out through this system. The Web OPAC facility is also available, enabling users to search the library database through computers as well as smartphones.

The library is currently in its growth phase. Reading materials are being added on a regular basis in accordance with the University syllabus and based on the requirements of faculty members and students.
